Class Newsletters wi

Class Newsletters with curriculum information and dates for the Summer Term will be coming home with the children in the next few days, but I wanted to give you early notice of the dates for this year's Sports Days.

With the unpredictable nature of our weather, we are holding our Sports Days slightly earlier this year so that if we do have to postpone we have enough time to find an alternative date later in the term. Also, the weather in May is often lovely and not quite as hot as it can potentially get in June/July.

The dates are as follow:

Nursery: Tuesday 19th May 9.00am - parents and carers are invited to come in for a tea or coffee at 8.30am while the children get ready for their Sports Day which will run from 9.00am to approximately 9.45am.

Reception, Class One and Class Two: Tuesday 19th May from 1.30pm until hometime

Classes Three, Four, Five and Six: Wednesday 20th May from 1.30pm until hometime

More information will be sent home nearer the time, fingers crossed the weather is fine!

We are looking forwa

We are looking forward to seeing everyone tomorrow ready for the start of the Summer Term.
A reminder that the changes to the timings of the school day begin tomorrow for children in Reception to Year 6 (no changes for Nursery).
At 8.40am the playground and Reception gates will open. All the children will say goodbye to their adults at the gate and will walk straight into school to get into class for registration at 8.50am.
The gates will close promptly at 8.50am.
Any children arriving after that time will need to be taken to the main entrance by an adult who will be asked for the reason for their lateness. Up to 9.00am this will be marked in the register as 'Late' but after 9.20am it will be marked as 'Unauthorised absence'.
Hometime arrangements will not change, except that the end of the school will be 3.20pm with the playground gates opening at 3.15pm.
Teachers will not be available to talk to before school as they will be with the children, but messages can be left with the member of staff at the gate or at the office.

That left 2 coats, 3 caps, 8 pairs of gloves, 1 pair of tights, 4 hats, 15 school jumpers and 32 cardigans which have all been donated to the School Uniform Exchange run by Darlington Borough Council and Darlington Cares
