Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to St Mary’s Cockerton CE Primary School’s website.

There has been a Church School serving Cockerton village since 1824, when the Anglican Church authorities were given a cottage on the green. A new building was completed in 2009 providing excellent learning spaces for 210 children from 4 to 11 years old.

Our school is a place where all are welcomed and invited to build a community where God’s love is shared to enable positive engagement, action and education; allowing children, staff and pupils to be inspired to raise their eyes, open their minds and explore the world God created. Participating in God’s mission of love to both the local community and the wider world, we live fully as global explorers.

We love our school and love to see the work and achievements of the children in our care. We work hard academically, achieve and develop out of the classroom and are very proud of our school, the children we teach and the building that we work in and we’d love to tell you more.

We are proud to be part of the Melrose Learning Trust. Click here to visit the Trust website where you can find important information such as Trust policies and who the Trustees are.

If you would like to visit us or would like more information about the school, please get in touch with the school office
